Modulo Space is a combination of a miniature voxel engine and a custom made contour-finder algorithm. It explores the conceptual limitations and graphical possibilities of orthogonal views, where parallel lines and intersections create repeating visual clusters within the computational space. The system’s design seeks to create aesthetic value by removing unnecessary elements and keeping each component purely functional in the visual structure. In computing, the modulo operation returns the remainder when one number is divided by another, known as the modulus. Since computational space is built using numbers, these operations can be applied across multiple dimensions of the coordinate system. The resulting remainders create a variety of patterns along the different directions in the space. Drawings In addition to create, mint and collect a digital version for free, each artwork can be requested as a hand-signed, unique mechanical plotter drawing. These physical versions are available to collectors for 100 Tezos, which covers plotting, handling, and shipping. The drawings arrive with the following parameters: Black ink on Tiziano Perla Grey (160g/m2) or Silver ink on Black Photo Cardboard (230g/m2), according to the preselected color palette of the corresponding digital token. If the token is resold, the transfer of the physical artwork is optional and can be negotiated between the buyer and seller.
