Brushstract is an exploration of the humbling experiment of attempting to capture the feel of brushes on canvas. Some argue that generative art shouldn’t attempt to imitate traditional mediums, but since it never truly can (at least without a little AI magic or wildly sophisticated shaders), the results take on their own peculiar charm. Feel free to play with the four sliders and see how far a few hundred lines of code can go toward creating something almost, but not quite, like oil paint meeting canvas. And one more thing :) - since I recently joined the @fxhash_ artist token experiment, all co-creators will also receive 1000 $1AB for each minted piece, my own experimental genart token, which (for now) can also be used to mint from the Scatterborn project. Just DM me your wallet address to claim it. Press 1 to export a window-resolution PNG. Press 2 for a 2K export. Press 4 for a 4K render (and pray your GPU doesn’t melt in protest). Coded by a human, in p5.js.
